The dream of Hope

This was a competition that I entered not thinking that there would be any reply to my submission. The painted version was done by another artist based in the UK. It was a fun positive experience. : )

"Could you design a horse sculpture for World Horse Welfare’s World Horse Trail?

Following on from the success of the 2016 Invisible Horse Trail at the Mitsubishi Motors
Badminton Horse Trials, World Horse Welfare is creating a 40 sculpture, multiple-location
World Horse Trail, to tell the stories of horses the charity has helped around the world.

20 large sculptures will feature in the Show Trail, which travels, and the Borough Trail, whilst the Farm Trail at our four Rescue and Rehoming Centres will feature the 20 small sculptures.

Will you enter our competition to design a sculpture based on the story of Hope? Shortlisted entries will be judged by World Horse Welfare Patron Suzanne Dando-Reynolds, BEM. The winning design will be recreated onto a large horse sculpture to be displayed as part of the Borough or Show Trail.

The master sculpture itself is being created by acclaimed artist Judy Boyt based on the story of Lucas, a frozen and abandoned foal who was rescued by World Horse Welfare and has flourished into a beautiful sport horse."
