In a field
This piece was a commission done during the summer of 2019. The client requested paper art of her original characters as children having a bonding moment. It's a relaxing instance full of light and free of worries.
The more important aspects are made of meticulously cut colored papers arranged to form the characters and their accessories. There was also a pop of color added on the grass with paper flowers also cut in the same manner. There is added textures on these pieces by coloring on top with colored pencils.
The field in itself is made with watercolor crayons. I let the roughness of the paper show through in certain areas that were left with a sketchier appearance combined with the soft transitions to the dilution of the medium.
