Pine Creek Gorge aka Pennsylvania Grand Canyon
We are so fortunate for the beautiful surroundings here in North Central Pennsylvania. I visited this place as a child with my grandparents, a couple of times, but this was my first trip as an adult. I actually made it unknowingly...I picked a state park on the map and drove. Once I arrived things looked slightly familiar. It wasn't until I reached the overlook and saw a sign that read "Turkey Path" that I knew where I was. The "Turkey Path" is the walking path that winds down the gorge to the creek. It's quite steep, and while I probably ran right down it as a child, old age has made me nervous! I walked down just a little ways on this trip.
