Workshop Introduction to Laser Cutting
As part of DesignLab's 5-Year Anniversary month here at the UTwente I took the workshop Introduction to Laser Cutting, after a quick explanation of the programs and laser cutting in general we had some time to make our own laser-cut product. I made a simple lamp in SolidWorks and used CorelDraw to make the lay-out of parts and types of cuts for the laser cutter. 
I also assembled the lamp in SolidWorks and then rendered it in Octane.
And after adding some tape to the parts (connections were a bit too loose) this is the final result:
I used a short, battery-powered, LED strip for the lighting.
