The design challenge was to take the Mill & Grill brand and apply it to one print design, interior, exterior and website. The final products sells Mill & Grills brand vision, “Holding family, fun and fresh food to the highest standard possible. By using interactive and entertaining performances by our chefs, coupled with good farm-fresh food, great atmosphere and a novelty experience, this restaurant aims to be the place you crave to bring your family time and time again.” Making sure the brand brought family and fresh together was the number one priority. 

In the print design the cow was brought in from the logo. This was to give the brand a mascot, someone that kids and people would remember. The kids menu is interactive to link to the interactive component of the restaurant having the food being cooked in front of the customers. The menu is a one time use since the kids are allowed to draw and play games. The interior of the restaurant represents the comfort of home. There are images placed all over the walls creating a nostalgic feel where there is images of past present and the future. Red oak is used because it is a warm toned wood that will help support the comfort feel Mill & Grill stands for. The exterior sign-age is straight to the point, this is Mill & Grill and this is where we are located. The main sign is hand-painted on to further the handmade component to the brand. The website is a simple design that allows for easy navigation. The main uses for the website are for customers to know the time and location, menu options and the Mill & Grill shop.
