Distillers Press Chapbook

Chapbook Letterpress Project.

Chloe, Sarah and I decided to focus on the topic of ‘Global Warming’ and ‘Climate Change’. We started with the ideology that Irish people talk about weather all the time as a small talk subject, but they never delve into the seriousness of why the weather can be so abnormal.

We took typical Irish phrases in response to the weather which can be seen when the book is opened. When the book is opened further, the real answer lies within. The real topic that people should be discussing is hidden away underneath all the ‘small talk’ answers.
(Like in the book, the small talk answers are above the harrowing statement on climate change). On the back of the book, the statement “Just stop cutting down trees” is printed as the ‘small talk’ answer to climate change.

The entire chapbook was printed in The Distillers Press, NCAD
