LANA Craft cider is a fictional company that I made up for the purpose of this project. It's a young brand trying to reach young audience.
In this branding project I decided to create a logo in a few versions as well as 3 products designs for different flavors of cider. All variations of the logo have the name of the brand written in a thick and kinda cartoon-y font. The main logo also has a little description of the brand written under "LENA" which is "craft cider". For this little text I decided to go for a more feminine font, after all the company is named after a woman. I also made a mark that shows Lena: a young, fun and trendy girl. It can be used everywhere that text cannot go.
When it comes to the cider, I made up catchy names that go well with the playfulness of the illustrations on the labels. To keep it all cohesive, I went for the same font as I used in the logo. The drawings are all personalized for each flavor. They visualize the ingredients that the client can find in each drink. The first thing that catches the client's eye is the color, that gives away the kind of flavor that can be expected. After a moment, the objects are becoming apparent and they deliver more detailed information of the contents.
The illustrations are mostly symmetrical, the only unsymmetrical parts are the abstract shapes in the background, the middle object and the little black and white dots. The big number of different elements in each picture is supposed to mimic the richness of the flavors of liquids trapped inside the bottles. The informative part of the label is kept simple to not overcrowd it.
The hardest part in the design process must have been the choice of a bottle. I considered white glass as well as some tinted one, but ended up opting for a solid milky - white version with a half matte, half glossy finish. I think it goes well with the feminine vibe of the brand and it fits the label nicely.
In the future, I'd like to expand the collection of flavors and make a Christmas edition featuring 3 or 4 new flavors (= labels).
