For my final project, I chose to depict the seven deadly sins. I incorporated many things that come into everyday life like makeup and Netflix. The final product is 20 pages and was sent to The Newspaper Club to be printed on a standard tabloid with 55 gsm paper stock.

Below are three of my strongest and most appealing spreads, before including the cover.
Although angels are commonly represented for the virtues, I used them in the since that they have fallen from committing sin.
Lust. I included many subjectively beautiful women. I cut the edges of the collage very choppy to look like it was done as a heat of the moment thing. I then scanned the craft and added color manipulation and a watercolor brush texture to add more visuals to the spread.
Wrath. This sin utilizes anger and what better way to represent anger than with a weapon? This butcher knife is something I had in my kitchen and so I thought it would be fun to use. I used an open-lid scan and was left with this as a result. I adjusted the colors slightly to give it more of a cyan cast.
Vanity. The obsession of appearance. Makeup is the cheapest thing that someone can do to change their appearance. With enough of it, it can lead the person to using it like they absolutely need it. "Vanity" is written with lipstick.
