Editorial project - book and typography specimen. My book and specimen both aim to achieve a formal and elegant theme. The designs are simple and timeless. 

The book is an editorial project displaying the vox classification, it compares each typeface of the vox+1 classification to the timeless elegance of plant forms, in the illustrative style of 1800’s botanical drawings.

My specimen delves into the rich history of the typeface Study designed by Jessie Ragan of XYZ Type, drawn from the work of Rudolph Ruzicka. The specimen emulates an ‘archival’ style, speaking to the discovery of the original drawings of the typeface. The loose leaf style mimics the form of the book Studies in Type Design which published the original plates of Study’s alphabet.
