Centennial Ferris type book

Design Narrative
The theme of my book is based on the movie Ferris Bueller’s day off. The movie came out in 1986 the same year my font centennial came out. I drew inspiration from the movie and used graphic design elements from the 80’s to create my book. The color scheme i used resembles the CMYK color scheme which i felt fit well in the 80’s theme. The shapes and repeated patterns i used through out the book were also drawn from the 1980’s graphic design.
I used the song lyrics from the song donke Shank to to show the scale of my font. I used this song because it’s a staple to the movie.
I also used an article summarizing the movie to show different sizing and leading for paragraphs.
The book itself displays Adrian Frutiger's font Centennial and the varies font families that come with it. I displayed scale, alignment, the characters, etc. to show the flexibility of the font.
