In this project after learning about apparel and pattern-making, we had to design apparel by taking an abstract inspiration. My inspiration was Fire. Given below is the mood board.

Since my inspiration was fire, I tried exploring various effects created by the method of heating, heat setting and applying acids on to different fabrics. Given below are some of the explorations.
Explorations: (Left) Exploration on synthetic velvet fabric screen printed with Nitric acid, other explorations are made by heat-setting organza(pink fabric) and shimmer georgette
The collection
Final garment has been made using shimmer georgette fabric and manually heat-set shimmer georgette fabric.
