Discrepancy (Croatian: Diskrepancija) is a journal by the Sociology Students' Discrepancy Club, which publishes papers from social sciences and humanities discourses. It first came out in 2000, and the articles published so far cover a wide range of academic disciplines and fields of research.
The inspiration for the design of the magazine and its cover came from the students themselves, their work and studying. Post-it notes often used by students are used as leitmotifs, followed by handwritten typography. The front page represents activism and 'DIY' culture, with a hand that is peeling off the post-it, separating it from the rest, making it stand out, preparing for action.
Diskrepancija je studentski časopis Kluba studenata sociologije Diskrepancija koji objavljuje radove iz područja društvenih i humanističkih znanosti. Prvi put izlazi 2000. godine, a dosad objavljeni članci pokrivaju širok spektar akademskih disciplina i polja istraživanja.
Inspiracija za dizajn časopisa i naslovne strane proizašla je upravo iz samih studenata i studentskog rada i učenja. Kao lajtmotivi preuzeti su post–it papirići koje studenti često koriste pri učenju, a prijelom prati rukopisna tipografija. Naslovnom stranicom također se ciljalo i na aktivizam i ‘DIY’ kulturu, elementom ruke koja taj post-it skida, čini ga odvojenim, drugačijim, spremnim na pokret i akciju.
