Solace Housing Project
Solace housing project, was assigned in the summer of 2019 as our first urban design project
Phase 1:
The preliminary design phase
This was mostly characterized by in-depth studies, which lasted for the first quarter of the semester
In that phase we were encouraged to research different housing development styles, focusing on similar area or a similar social class, and to critique the design of both the prototypes and the land-use itself
We also had to come up with different design strategies, philosophies and guidelines that would move our design forward
So we'd come up with the philosophy of integration

The guidelines were an integration between the informal and formal surrounding, the upper-middle and middle class housing and creating a uniform skyline
