An experimental typography project titled "Type Geek". The letters were formed from handmade cardboard molds, filled with Plaster of Paris, then filed down to create smooth edges. The letters are 920 point Futura Bold and are approximately 10 inches tall and 1 inch thick. They were spray painted a bright teal to be inviting and vibrant. My end goal was for the viewer to be able to pick the letters up and hold them in their hands. I wanted them to be sturdy and heavy but also beautifully crafted and fun to look at. This piece placed first in the Graphic Design category for York College's 2020 Annual Juried Student Exhibition.
