This is a research draft for my forum class. I find the connection with the bridge and my hometown, Shanghai. I also tried out Posca pens for the first time.

This is a digital portrait drawing for my illustration class. I chose my favorite musician Khalid. I wanted to challenge myself with detailed background.

Draft

This is an experimental piece I painted for my illustration class mid term project. The theme is "comfort and discomfort". I am never really familiar with craft, so I wanted to try out some painting combining with crafting. My professor helped me breaking the wood and I used nails, wood, and strings to connect the two piece. The title of the piece is "Connection".

This short video is an experimental animation for my color/pattern/design class. I digitally drew every frame and put them into this short stop motion animation. I tried to be color conscious by using complementary colors.

These are some quick drawings I do when I feel inspired by other people's art. On the left side, I was inspired by the movie Midsommar. And on the right side, I was inspired by a painting of sculpture in Toledo Museum of Art.

This is a drawing of my original character, Raina. She is a witch.

This is a final piece for visual journalism for my illustration class. The theme was "art and audience". I was obsessed with Posca pen once I got into them. I spent a lot of time on trying out different compositions to achieve a feeling of surrealism. 

This is a folio we did in color/pattern/design class. The theme was monochrome.
