Poster design for The Way The World Tastes, Lukasz Kulec's graduation film at the Edinburgh College of Art . The Way The World Tastes is a short documentary that follows John Charles, a 66 year old blind man, on a short holiday. Custom-made letters are designed for the poster from illustrations of objects that the protagonist interacts with throughout the film. From a distance the letters look unclear or scribbly, but detail is put into making them inviting for people to approach the poster and have a closer look, playing on different themes of shortsightedness and, you know, looking beyond the surface. Deep stuff.
