B’Est Movie 2019 – Summer Film Festival

Rassegna B’Est Movie is one of the film festivals, organised by the Cineteca di Bologna, for 14 cities in the metropolitan area of Bologna.
Being this year the 50th anniversary of the moon landing each film is preceded by short extracts of newsreels and TV broadcasts of space exploration, thanks to the collaboration with Rai (Italian national public broadcasting company) and Istituto Luce Cinecittà. For this reason the main element of the whole communication is a dynamic moon.
Online the concept has been developed with the use of an animation, whereas the printed material foresees four parallel versions (1/4 moon, 2/4 moon, 3/4 moon and full moon). The moon as a giagantic, imposing and magical discovery. The same moon that the audience can admire during the screening of the movies. The rest of the design is simple typography typesetted in Monument Grotesk by Dinamo, using just two colours: black, as the depth of the universe; gold, as the spaceships MLI blankets… Ehm, the magic of the cinema.
