Prelude to Water Melody, composed in Song Dynasty and covered by Faye Wong in 1995, has a proliferate cultural background. It tells stifling feelings Poet Su when he missed home and reflected on Chinese’s dedication on soft power and family cohesion. I knew the song under the influence of my mom at eight and understood more as I now studied abroad, far apart from family. In this publication, I explain my deep attachment to the song and my homesickness by forty designs.
