KILL COFFINS, GO GREEN.
22 x 22.5", Fall 2019
As it goes for almost all of my projects, I wanted to educate the public about an environmental concern; in this case, the harms traditional burials do to our environment, and what we can do as an alternative. Making an info-graphic was the best approach to do so. Wanting it to interact with the earth and not just be intended to hang on a wall, I cut out a shape of a coffin to symbolize the removal of this practice so plants can grow through and take its place.
With the rising concerns of climate change, I hope for viewers to reconsider their lifestyles, as well as their "death-styles", and make their last impact on this planet a sustainable and nourishing one.
Thank you for viewing! :)
