The WIP the Runway Fashion Show Tour was created as a platform for designers, stylist, models, and performing artists to use their talents to spread a positive message to youth and young adults throughout the country.
As the Creative Director of the tour, I managed, built, and inspired creative teams, in the direction and development of a 2.5 hour production featuring 12 performance artists, 30 models, 15 fashion and beauty designers, and 12 production assistants. I created the branding and business development strategy that generated leads in 7 new cities, with new investors, and sponsors interested in hosting the tour. We developed strategic partnerships with several media and lifestyle brands, and secured an agreement for a feature showcase opportunity during NBA All-Star week.
The video you are about to see is from our New York City concert which generated over 500 guests in attendance, generated over $7,500 in donations, and established a volunteer network of 75+ community members to support is for displaced families affected by Hurricane Sandy. In conjunction with the tour, we developed a 6-week long Community Outreach Program for youth and young adults to educate and equip 60 participants and their families for leading careers in the entertainment and media industries.
