OPENART BIENNIAL – VISUAL IDENTITY 

Openart is an art biennial for public art in Örebro, Sweden. Sakaria Studio was asked to re-design the biennial's old identity, but with the old logotyp maintained. Featuring a rabbit's footprint, the old logotype was hard to read and difficult to work with. We came up with the idea to re-purpose the logotype as an imprint rather than a shape, to communicate how a good art experience leaves you with an impression. The result shows the logotype scaled up beyond the borders of the art board, and affecting the underlying artwork by enlightening it. A new colour palette, typeface and word mark was introduced to complete the visual identity.
