This motion graphics examines the pros and cons of exploiting reserves of shale gas in Europe (2013). This animation belongs to The Environment Nexus project (2013).
The Environment Nexus project was nominated for Best Use of Digital by non-profit and government agencies by the Samsung Digital Media Award 2014 and was nominated for Best Digital Campaign for Eircom Spiders Award 2013.
The IIEA Creative and Research Teams designed and developed a micro-website and created informative, multimedia content on cross-government approaches to policymaking relating to water, energy and food.
In this project I was part of the Creative team and I designed motion graphics pieces, infographics and digital publications.
Against the background of a US shale gas boom, this new video infographic explores the debate about shale gas in Europe, examining the pros and cons of exploiting reserves. Will shale have its day in the sun or is the promise of a golden age of gas a false dawn for Europe?
