Project 01: Waste to Manage / Consumer Responsibility
The cosmetics industry has a rooted history in prioritizing beauty over ethical practices. From the beginning cosmetics were derived from harmful chemicals, some still used even today. In 1938 testing on animals became the standard practice in the industry. This exhibit will focus on the history of single-use packaging and the environmental impact of creating and tossing these contaminated materials.
This project centered around creating a set of an educational poster exhibit displaying research based on the carbon footprint, water footprint, history, and steps forward in the cosmetics and personal health industry.
