Northampton Cathedral Re-Light (2019)

Northampton Cathedral LED Relighting
I was asked to complete a lighting scheme for the relighting project of The Cathedral Church of Our Lady Immaculate and St Thomas of Canterbury. This project spanned over 12 months, and was overseen by myself from the start.
The client was looking for a dynamic lighting scheme that could be used for a range of different events held in the space. Using light I aimed to create different moods throughout the space for Funeral, Weddings, Christenings, Easter Celebrations, General day events and Lent.
I started by creating visualisations in DiaLUX after we explored the requirements of the light for the space.

Using Dynalite and DALI spotlights we realised 8 different designs for the client, to the great delight of the church congress.
