Happy Nowruz
Today is the 20th of March and the calendaring beginning of the spring, and at the same time, like every year at this time, the Persian new year. This ceremony is known as Nowruz, which means literally translate the New day. Nowruz has it’s rooted in old Persia and is celebrating since then by every Persian speaking everywhere in the world. And during those days, it’s tradition to decorate the table with a whole of different items, which all have their meanings and reflecting different characteristics. And seven of them have to begin with the Persian letter (س - sin).
Therefore I created this poster and want to congrats and wish everyone good luck and healthiness in the new year.
Here I tried my best to breakdown all the items to explain their meanings:
