I was initially drawn to this cross-section of art and mathematics by the work of Italian mathematician Fibonacci, specifically his work of perfectly symmetrical geometric curves. Using a singular light source I was able to illustrate these symmetric and visually appealing patterns with the eye of a long camera shutter. My illustrations reflect the simplistic beauty of light and how one singular line, similar to the Fibonacci Sequence, can be manipulated into a quintessential yet complex design.
