According to the Bulgarian belief, on the first day of March, we make a wish, wear a bracelet called martenitsa made of red and white yarn. We believe that storks that migrate to warm climates will bring luck and abundance to their destination. During the spring months, whenever we see a stork, we remove our martenitsa and tie it to a newly blossomed fruit tree. The spring of 2020 did not come like the previous years, our martenitsa remained on our wrists. I miss the storks a lot. I hope we will get rid of all these negativities soon. #hope #makeawish
