Francisco Mantecón
This is one of the tasks of the third project of my second year at ESADA – Escuela Superior de Arte y Diseño de Andalucía that consisted of creating a promotional poster for the Terras Gauda Wineries’ event called Novenas y Décimas Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas de las Rutas de los Vinos de Galicia.
Every two years, Terras Gauda hosts the Francisco Mantecón Poster Design Competition, a contest that aims to reveal the intriguing and fascinating culture of wine, as well as the wonders of the Galician lands. My proposal embraces the whole essence and spirit of the Terras Gauda Wineries – a stylized bottle of wine, line art as an imitation of the grapevine and some of the most representative symbols and leitmotifs that empower their personality even more, are all included in this composition. However, it is a dynamic, elegant, minimal, but also sophisticated drawn by hand illustration transformed into a poster ready to represent the Novenas y décimas Jornadas de puertas abiertas de las Rutas de los vinos de Galicia.
