Zionist Organization of America and the Israel Day Para

A graduate of Texas A&M University with a master of business administration in finance, longtime New Jersey resident Harvey Bell balances professional responsibilities with a number of philanthropic interests. Harvey Bell was recently named a board member of the Zionist Organization of America.

Established in 1897, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) is committed to educating the world about the plight of Israel and strengthening US/Israeli relations. The organization’s annual events include the Israel Day Parade, held each year in New York City as a celebration of the many accomplishments of the Jewish state and its people. In past years, tens of thousands of attendees have gathered to show support for Israel and to support Israeli activists, making it the world’s largest pro-Israel gathering.

The Israel Day Parade typically opens with the blowing of shofars, ancient horns used to gather Jewish congregations, followed by a procession of floats and marching bands. For those unable to attend the event in person, the parade has been broadcast on local New York City television and made available via livestream.
