Patrice Boudreau is a makeup artist in the film industry in Toronto. His line of brushes was build to withstand the different circumstances he and his colleagues face when on set. His line of high end brushes, with faux-leather carry cases, are used by professionals across he industry, and he has recently started producing them for purchase by the general public. Whether working on beauty or on set, these brushes are flexible tools that anyone can use in their makeup kit. 

For this project, I was both the product photographer, retoucher, graphic and web designer. I really enjoyed working on the project because it hit so many different aspects of work that it was never boring. While the shop front was initially completed through a template, I did manage to get Shopify to integrate with the website, in order to allow the client to better service their customers buying needs. Shopify provides a more robust e-commerce experience for both the online store and the customer as a whole, which is why I advised the client to go with it. While it adds cost to the project, which was initially unforeseen, the benefits it provides far outweigh the added cost.

I worked on the product photography first, ensuring each brush was photographed on a while background, to allow each product to stand out for the buyer. The image was enhanced to show the brushed steel, with any unsightly blemishes removed at the request of the client. 

While the logo itself was not something I created, I did make an alteration to the design, changing the gold value in the frame. In store, this gold colour has a shiny metallic finish, which is harder to see when the logo is showcased online.
