Designing a functional online store for renowned independent record label Linn Records.
We were commissioned by the musical production and recording group Outhere Music to design a platform for online sales of their affiliate label Linn Records.
Linn Records is an independent record label, combining a love of music with a passion for quality. The label covers everything, from award-winning classical and jazz recordings to the latest rock, pop, and electronica. We therefore had to keep their extensive catalogue in mind approach the conception of their web-shop.
Having previously crafted the label’s identity that is applied to each physical and digital release, we adjusted these strong visual codes to the website and online shopping platform.
Users are invited to delve deep into the catalogue and spend a time on the site — listening to excerpts using the custom player, all the while immersed Linn’s sumptuous aural and visual universe. Special attention was given to the website's navigation and general user experience. This resulted in a timeless, pared back design that allows visitors and shoppers of all ages to enjoy Linn Record's immense range of music.
