The project is proposed as an alternative to standard trading pavilions. The main idea of the project is to combine shopping and public space. Moreover, the elements of public space can be used as an infrastructure for marketing events by the operators of the trading pavilions.
Elements of public space consist of metal structures, in form of separated units that can be compared with LEGO cubes. Various elements are assembled from these blocks, such as: an amphitheater, a basketball court, trays for garage sales, a space for yoga, a summer movie theater, a lecture hall or a small ice rink for the winter.
The project is supposed to be placed in one of the sleeping areas of St. Petersburg. His style is determined by the mottled context of the environment, in connection with this a neutral color scheme and minimalistic forms were chosen. To organize event activities, it is planned to involve local stakeholders and active citizens.
