For this project I made a poster for a fake play of one of the Grimm's fairy tale, Godfather Death. I wanted to represent the story's dark and gloomy tone by using dark imagery and colors. I used scale to portray Godfather Death's control over the main character by having Godfather Death's hand looming over the main character's smaller body. I also wanted to show Death's control over the main character by using red strings, because in media red strings represent fate. In the illustration, the main character has scissors which illustrates his attempt to break free from Death in the story.
