Rebrand: 丸竹Marutake Cosmetics

  • I redesigned packages and website for a Taiwanese local cosmetic. The cosmetic brand, 丸竹Marutake, was founded in 1922 and the package design remained almost the same since then. The goals of the new design are to attract younger consumers (age around 18-24) while conveying the brand’s historical value, so I chose Majolica tiles popular around the 1910s-1930s Taiwan as decoration to hint the history of Marutake cosmetics and played with color palettes to modernize the look.
