Abbot - Maibock Style Lager

For this label I wanted to keep the colors, layout, and design a but more traditional and in tune with beer branding from the early 20th century. Bock beers have been associated with goats and goat imagery since soon after the birth of bock beers and in keeping with tradition I applied the same imagery to the label. 

Originating in the Northern German city of Einbeck, bock beers became known as such due to the Bavarian pronunciation of Einbeck which came out as "einbock," meaning "billy goat" in german. The beer style became known as "bock" and has stuck ever since, including its association with goats.
