Computer Graphics 01B (Adobe Illustrator) - Spring Semester 2020 @ CoD

Here are a few assignments using Adobe Illustrator: learning... practicing.

1st: Shape Tool - Tree; 2nd, Shape Tool, Gradient - Robot; 3rd, Shape Tool, Rotate - Mandala; 4th, Shape Tool, Gradient, Rotate Tool - Snowflake; and 5th, Shape Tool, Gradient, Pen Tool, Shaper Build Tool - Nova.

Choose an Image, Use Image Trace and then Live Paint - "The Dragon Prince" - Azymondias, aka Zym

Here is my Midterm Project - My Chosen City Skyline is that of Mexico City and next to it is my Interpretation.

Create a Pattern Swatch.  Create Art, Scatter, and Pattern Brushes.

Choose a Typographic Quote (TQ): I quoted Letterer, Illustrator and “Procrastiworker” Jessica Hische, who quoted herself and created this TQ.  Create One: I quoted French Existentialist Author Albert Camus in "The Plague" (1947), and created a TQ.  (I appropriated gender neutral terms.)

For Final Project, I chose to draw Gizmo at 8 y/o in this photo.  It was taken at Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs, CA.  We lived nearby.  Gizmo used to walk me up to 5 times a day.  I will begin on it this evening, complete it by this Thursday night, May 21, 2020.
