ANZAC DAY 2019 in Melbourne
I was fortuned to be in Melbourne right on the ANAZAC Day celebration in 2019, the first ever national day outside Vietnam that I had the opportunity to participate. The day is to honor and remember all Australian and New Zealanders soilders who served and died all wars, conflicts and peace operations.
Personally, it was quite emotional for me as a Vietnamese to see veterans who served in the Vietnam War with their unit flags that have name of my country's locations on it. I even had the precious opportunity to talk with a Republic of Vietnam veteran during the event and I respect him a lot!
