Green Seed Co. | Logo Concept
Design Problem:
Green Seed® is Locally Owned & Operated in St. Augustine, FL and aims to create a better growth solution for all types of landscapes. Despite operating in the area for quite some time, Green Seed had never had a visual presence in the community and was only known through local referrals and business relations.

Design Challenges:
The client for this project wanted a logo that felt fresh and vibrant, but was also was true to their industry. So the challenge for this project was to create a brand that outshined competitors without feeling out of place in their current market.
Design Process:
Before ending on the final concept shown here, I sketched various badge style logos incorporating the sun, grass and a seed shape to echo the company name, Green Seed. After landing on a finished sketch, I recreated the logo digitally in Adobe Illustrator.

Design Solution:
Popular competitors are heavily involved in construction markets. Typical construction brands feature block typography, bright colors like orange or red, and basic symbols, if any at all.
To combat this, I still chose to incorporate bright colors with greens and a yellow accent, but inevitably created a badge-style logo to help differentiate the design. This badge also communicates visually what the company does without having to over use typography or wording like other companies. I think the final design is fresh and fun without feeling true to their market and audience.
