X-Particles Challenge 2017
Winner - 1st Place
My entry for the X-Particles Challenge 2017.
I wanted some narrative to my piece rather than just a technical display. Whilst also being constrained by the competition specifications, cutting my film down to a max 20 seconds was a challenge in itself.
This piece follows the spirit of an eagle, trapped but seeking something larger than itself. However, a great sacrifice is needed to prevail.
Making this gave me a chance to test some new workflows. Combining tools such a TurbulenceFD & X-Particles for motion and rendering via Krakatoa, achieving that silky smooth look to millions of particles.
