The Greatest Showman

Title Sequence of The Greatest Showman
We had to first create our characters with whatever technique we wanted especially by 1st sketching them out and using different techniques to get the effect er wanted. I liked the idea of simple character in a vintage collage style so that is how i created them.
I chose to create only the three main characters and some support elements for the circus theme as we had to produce a 2 min animation.
This was he mood-board that I created to help me understand the colours and the themes of vintage circus posters and charters.
Here is a circus horse and seal created with paper collage technique and then taken into Photoshop to get the desired effect.
These characters were created by a rough outline on paper and then i added newspaper to create the collage effect. After that i experimented with using inks to get different effects but finally created the final characters in Photoshop. From left to right is Pt. Barnum,  Philip Carlyle and Anne Wheeler.
Here is a very rough storyboard that I created so that i had an idea of how the sequence would turn out.But i also edited the storyboard along the way so this is not the final version.
Here is the final version that i came up with. This was  college assignment and most of the project was done during the lockdown due to which there were many things I would have liked some help or guidance with which was difficult to obtain due to the lockdown.
