Arsenal - Cartoon Champions

22/24 of Cartoon Champions top three now, as we move onto double digits with a roaring thirteen league titles,@arsenal Arsenal was the first club from the South of England to join The Football League, in 1893 ( as Woolwich Arsenal), and they reached the First Division in 1904. Relegated only once, in 1913, they continue the longest streak in the top division and have won the second-most top-flight matches in English football history. They also have the rare honor of having the title "The Invincibles" after their incredible 49 game unbeaten league run between 2003-2004.

Arsenal's nickname 'The Gunners' is a reference to the club's origins, having been formed by workers from the Royal Arsenal armament factory in Woolwich.
The Royal Arsenal produced munitions, weapons (such as artillery and small arms) and explosives, The nickname complements the club badge, which famously incorporates a cannon. Early versions of the club badge also included the words 'The Gunners'.
Cannons have been a prominent feature of the Arsenal crest since 1888 and the original crest was based on the coat of arms of the Woolwich borough. Despite moving from Woolwich to Highbury in 1913, Arsenal retained their name and iconography, though the club badge has occasionally been altered.
But I thought the cannon by itself looked a bit plain so I decided to also feature Arsenals iconic mascot, Gunneraurus Rex. He is easily the most popular dinosaur in the world. In 1993, the Junior Gunners held a contest to design a new mascot, his story goes; inspired by"Jurassic Park," which had come out that same summer, he sat down at his kitchen table and soon produced his fully realized proposal for a dinosaur named Gunnersaurus Rex. I combine the two and made a cannon with Gunnersauras behind firing it in this season kit. Let me know what you think.
