The 14th Amendment Poster Series

The 14th Amendment Poster Series

The goal for this project was to create a series of posters through image making for one of the US amendments. Having chose the 14th Amendment in which the overall amendment focuses on what it means to be a citizen and the protection of civil rights. This series of posters was designed to reflect on the protection of civil rights of citizenship specifically within public education. With this aspect being the focus I wanted to emphasize/advocate that within the public education the government should have equal protection to all races. As we are such a diverse nation and continuing to diversely grow.

The main visual, government building with pencil pillars, is represented through different mediums (pencil shavings, paper, photography, and illustration) to each have a slightly different meaning but revolve around the main idea of equality with public education.
