"The cold embrace of the night lulls everyone into sleep after a long day of hard work at the port. The moon illuminates everything under the foggy skies. A mist covers up the horizon across the vast sea- nothing is more peaceful than feeling the breeze and staring blankly at the ocean under the moonlight... Until, it stares back at you. It's eyes, reflect the moonlight, glowing under the shadow of the night, a nightmare emerges, an unknown creature walking its way to lay siege at the walled town, walking... On the deep sea, these gargantuan puked by the ocean strike fear to everyone that is conscious, flexing its towering height that the walls of the town dwarfed from it's arrival. Some people gathered belongings, others mustered up to fight the thing, but I- I was useless, I ran away..as quickly as I can, I was convinced that I went out quickly to get help... But no, it was cowardice I was scared.. I should've stayed... Helping...I-I- I should be
dead...."
Abomination coming out of the depths of the sea
"We we're at the port, peacefully strolling in the bask of the moonlight, listening to the sound of the cold wind, the waves of the ocean, the creaking of the planks.... And suddenly, a growl... A low pitched growl...no... There's no way to describe it... But I felt it, my instincts told me that I should run when I heard it...but before I can react, a colossal shadow casted upon us from the mists- and then it appeared right in front of our eyes, we were frozen in place-stunned by its presence. It--it has three eyes, all resembling that of a snake.. Its head, a nautilus, squid or an octopus-it's shaped like a skull with tentacles... Claws of a crustacean, it has legs, many legs...it stands effortlessly on the 20-meter deep sea... A has a shell resembling that of an isopod... Its stench-- like of a dead whale decaying for 2 weeks..... It completely ignored us and continued to scale the walls, we ran as fast as we could, and from the distance we can hear destruction as those abominations stomp on everything, they came one after another, it was a nightmare."
Trying to fight back the monster
"We mustered to operate the cannons but it was too late, the creature is already wreaking havoc inside the wall, out of fear and panic, they decided to rotate the cannons and fire at the abomination. "Stop!" I shouted, and tried to reason with them to stop firing inside the wall, where people are still running for their lives, --where we all live. Hitting it was futile, its hard carapace resembles that of a crab or an isopod, it effortlessly repels the cannon balls but they still decide to keep firing. We provoked it, the creature started spewing 'black cloud' as sort of a defense mechanism, it shrouded everything it touches, and killed anyone who inhaled it. We were cornered as the black smoke slowly creeps up the wall, and out of fear, we jumped, and I was the lucky few that lived. I started to think how we reacted, that our first thought was to kill it with cannons, it reacted like a prey, like a squid running away. It's afraid of something, maybe its running away, from something, much more sinister."
