MUNDANO ORGANIC CHOCOLATE
Mundano Organic Chocolate is aiming to break the stereotypes on chocolate that it is unhealthy. Certain amount of daily consuming of cacao product helps with heart problems and reduces the risks of diabetes. Also, a bit of sweetness in stressful daily life can be refreshing. We wish that our product can be your mundane sugary joy just as what our logo implies.
Competitor organic chocolate brands mostly use recycled paper as their main outer package. Design illustrations are either eco-friendly drawings or ethnic patterns inspired by basic shapes that are geometric. So, I created a logo with the mixture of serif and san-serif typefaces, implying both natural and modern trendiness. Also, with the integration of hand drawn illustrations, I designed the packaging eco-friendly.
문다노 오가닉 초코렛 브랜드는 기존의 초코렛은 몸에 안좋다는 편견을 깨고싶어 만들어진 브랜드 입니다. 적당량의 카카오를 하루에 섭취하는것은 당뇨를 예방할 뿐 아니라 심장질환에도 많은 도움이 된다고 알려졌습니다. 또한, 약간의 달콤한 초코렛은 스트레스와 만성 피로에 시달리는 현대 사람들에게 도움이 될 수 있습니다. 문다노는 이 유기농 초코렛이 여러분의 일상속 작은 기쁨이 되길 소망하며, 일상이라는 뜻의 스페인어에서 착안하여 로고를 만들었습니다.
문다노 오가닉 초코렛은 겉면 패키지 종이 질감을 살려 유기농 특유의 자연친화적 느낌을 살렸고, 직접 손으로 그린 일러스트를 삽입하여 자연주의적 특징을 부각하였습니다. 로고는 산 세리프체로 문다노를 써서 깔끔하고 모던한 느낌을 주어 전체적인 균형을 유지하였고, 세리프체로 오가닉임을 표시하여 핸드메이드 특유의 느낌을 나타냈습니다.
I created two separate lines of the chocolate bars; regular chocolate bars and chocolate bars with additional flavors like fruits or nuts. The first product line contains white, milk and dark cacao chocolate. Since they only include cacaos, I put the cacao illustrations and gave them a color difference so that the customers can easily get the flavor they want.
문다노 오가닉 초코렛바는 아무것도 첨가되지 않은 당도차이만 있는 초코렛 라인과, 견과류나 말린과일등이 섞인 라인 이렇게 두가지로 나뉩니다. 첫번째 라인에는 화이트, 밀크, 다크 초코렛이 있습니다. 카카오만을 사용한 제품이기에, 카카오 위주의 일러스트와 박스의 색상에 차이를 주어 소비자들이 한눈에 알아보기 쉽게 디자인 하였습니다.
The second line is the chocolate bars with dried fruits or nuts. Since this line includes more than just cacao, I included other illustration elements that indicates each flavor.
두번째 초코렛바 라인은 말린과일들과 견과류가 들어가있습니다. 이 제품들의 경우 일러스트에 제품에 포함된 과일이나 견과류를 표시해 그 차이를 나타냈습니다.
The other type of chocolate packaging is clear boxed chocolate balls. Unlike the chocolate bar designs, I unified all the tags and labels since the box is clear and the customer can easily recognize the product.
초코렛바를 제외한 다른 라인으로는 투명한 박스에 작은 초코볼을 담아 휴대성를 강조한 제품이 있습니다. 용기가 투명하여 안쪽 내용물이 잘 보이기에, 따로 일러스트를 사용하지 않고 통일된 로고 스티커를 부착하여 연계성과 연속성을 강조하였습니다.
