It was a pleasure to be given the opportunity to visit Sakon Nakhon which help gain new experience of indigo dye. The culture and lifestyle differentiate between the village and city after a week observation and it is impressive on how the villagers took care of the indigo process. It feels like it has become the main part of their life. This work interpreting the sky by substituting the indigo dye with fabric dye, it symbolises the perseverance of the villagers. Different tie dye methods represent the sky variation and rich in colour gradient as well. The blue was arranged to represent the straight forward beauty of indigo. The clouds that made by cotton twines had created the texture and fluffiness in the sky. Indigo means everything to the villagers and had made the colours of their sky into the colour of indigo.
