Soft Serve

Soft Serve was a project completed in collaboration with Austin based producer Chop Steak. Chop sent over the mix, I listened to it a few times and decided that the mix reminded me of chasing down the ice cream truck on a hot summer day. I completed the ice cream truck in Illustrator, then brought it into Photoshop to give it a bit more texture. As for the lettering, my original idea was to create a font by creating letterforms using an actual soft serve machine, but after creating the illustration, I decided against it.

In the end, I still try to replicate the tips of soft serve by giving the letters sharp endpoints and some overlap. The image was then outlined in illustrator and given texture in photoshop.
