Repair the World
The writing on the pillows reads in Hebrew "Tikkun Olam" which translates to "repair the world." This is a statement that I am connected to in my everyday life, as I see flaws in the world and try to make small steps in order to improve it. I included the image of a young child giving the sign for peace in order to portray other people's hope for Tikkun Olam. The large pillow is in the shape of Israel, a place that particularly needs peace and also relates to Hebrew, and the smaller one is a chamsa which is a symbol for peace in the Jewish religion.
