Daniel Pagan is an artist from Queens NY currently living and studying in the Baltimore area. Born in 1990, he was raised in Puerto Rico until 1997, when his family packaged him up and shipped him to the beautiful city of New York. Ever since he was a small child, he had dreams of becoming an artist. It just so happens that he is currently in the process of realizing this dream by attending the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he will be graduating with the class of 2013. Art isn't the only passion that Daniel has, as he deeply enjoys traveling, anything related to music, comedy, reading/ writing poetry, watching/ playing basketball and soccer, and being a loyal and devoted fan of FC Barcelona.
Being lover of music and poetry, a lot of my artwork focuses on bridging the gap between these art forms and the visual translation of them into illustrations. As a visual person, I also find great pleasure in pictorializing verbal narratives. My goal as an illustrator is to accentuate written word with my own original visual language while creating an image that is easily accessible to the audience. In other words, I do this for myself, but I always consider the viewer's perception.
