In 2014, MICA and Bromo Tower Arts and Entertainment, Inc. came together to try to devise a way to unify the newly-branded Bromo Arts and Entertainment District in Baltimore, MD.
The new district included many neighborhoods that have unique and individual identities, so our first step was to interview residents. We quickly narrowed our focus to Antique Row on Howard Street. The problems of the shopowners there were many and complex, but over and over again we heard that navigability of the street was an issue, so we began to play around with signage.

Many meetings and discussions with residents later, we came to a consensus that what would bring in new people to the Row was an arts and entertainment event.
