This pair of posters is based on the creative non-fiction essay “Code Talkers” by Elizabeth Najarano, in which she and her older brother build a relationship through his music, which she hears through their shared bedroom wall. The posters are structured by grid lines that are reminiscent of a musical staff; different images are utilized between the posters to help establish tone; and analog hand-kerning of the large type lends a grungy feel to the piece.
